When something does not work
The cursor does not move
- Check that your webcam is recognised: open the system tray icon → Diagnostics → Camera test. You should see a live feed.
- Check that nobaMouse has the requested permissions, the camera is unobstructed and your head stays in frame.
Cursor movement is jittery or erratic
- Increase the smoothing value in profile settings.
- Reduce background movement: avoid placing the webcam near a window with changing light conditions.
- Try improving the lighting in your environment — even, diffuse light gives the tracking algorithm the most reliable signal.
Dwell clicks are not registering
- Check the dwell duration setting — a very short duration (below 0.5 s) can cause accidental clicks; a very long one may feel unresponsive.
- Ensure the dwell radius (the amount of cursor movement that resets the timer) is not set too small.
